    THE HOTEL

    The new challenging Cross Country Rally is scheduled in Oman from February, 22nd to February, 25th 2017. It is a call for all cross country rally passionates and specialists that wish to test their skills and cars amidst breath-taking mountains, magnificent valleys and outstanding sand dunes. After the adrenaline-charged stages, participants will all head to Jebel Sifah, the official host of the event.

    Developed by Muriya, Jebel Sifah has been crafted as a contemporary expression of Oman’s ancient heritage and vibrant culture, reflecting the stunning local surroundings. As an integrated tourism complex, the destination is a 20 minute drive from Bandar Khayran. Jebel Sifah is spread over 6.2 million sqm and is designed to include six world class hotels, of which the Sifawy Boutique Hotel is operational.     Registration is now open for the OMAN DESERT BAJA Rally Race February 22nd – 25th, 2017!

    Come traverse the diverse terrain of the Sultanate of Oman in this Cross-Country Rally Race with the Pharaons Rally JVD and the cooperation of the Oman Automobile Association.

    Join racers from all over the world through the mountains, dunes and valleys of Oman with our first challenge: the Oman Desert Baja.

    Between the Oman Automobile Association’s track record of successful motor events in Oman and the Pharaons Rally JVD’s experience of World Championship in Cross Country Rallies – Oman Desert Baja is bound to be a unique adventure.

    BACK FROM SCOUTING IN OMAN

    2017 opens new horizons for The Pharaons Rally JVD, and the Cross Country Rally World, a new adventure, in a new country for rally raid races: OMAN!

    This beautiful country will be hosting a series of races: Baja and Cross-Country rallies that allow competitors to discover this pristine territory dominated by mountains, dunes and seas.

    Our first race - the OMAN DESERT BAJA - is set in the northern part of the Omani desert, Jebel Sifah starting February 23rd - ending February 25th.

    OMAN DESERT BAJA will consist of four very special and challenging stages. Day 1 will consist of three special stages starting from the ocean and then race through the winding mountains to reach the peaks: at an altitude of over 2000 m, where eagles dominate the skies.     La magia delle piramidi accoglie Al Attiyah, Piatek e Abu Issa

    GIZA – L’emozione di terminare il Pharaons Rally alle Piramidi di Giza è una cosa unica nel panorama dei rally raid. Emozione ancora più grande per i vincitori dell’edizione 2015: Nasser Al Attiyah/Mathieu Baumel (QAT/FRA – Mini All4 Racing) tra le auto, Jakub Piatek (POL – KTM) tra le moto e Mohammed Abu Issa (QAT – Honda) tra i quad.

    L’ultima tappa del Pharaons 2015 è partita questa mattina dall’Oasi di Baharia per una speciale di 339 chilometri, prova che tradizionalmente riserva sempre qualche sorpresa. E la tradizione stava per giocare un brutto scherzo a Mohammed Al Balooshi (ARE – KTM), il pilota che aveva dominato le prime tre tappe e che ieri aveva perso la leadership per un errore di navigazione.
